After discovering the brilliant work of youth charity Football Beyond Borders last summer, and playing some football with them this season, I travelled to Whyteleafe to photograph the mens team's cup final game on 15th of April, 2016.
Played on a wet spring evening the game took all kinds of twists and turns as FBB played attractive possession football and AFC Ewell Reserves soaked up pressure to grab goals on the break. With 10 minutes to play and the game at 2-2 Ewell Reserves grabbed a winner to take the cup home. After a great first season for FBB Wanderers i'm sure they'll be back next year to go the whole way.
FBB uses the power of football to tackle inequality and provide opportunities for young people to achieve their goals and make their voices heard. To find out more about their work check out their website.
Also i had the chance to try out a Go-Pro for the game- you can see a time lapse of an FBB goal above.
